These are some stories of my travels, of people I meet and places I go, of food I eat and music I hear, of grappling with languages and navigating expat life.
Plus some photos.
In a previous incarnation I was Sarah in Guangzhou, but after leaving her to idle for a while I decided to kill her off once and for all. I left Guangzhou behind a long time ago now and it is time to move on.
After living as a digital nomad for more than four years I recently found myself making a home of sorts on the south coast of the UK. It’s still a work in progress and we shall see how it goes. Location independent living is harder than you imagine and I needed a change, but adjusting to UK living, particularly in post-Brexit Britain, is providing its own challenges.
I’m still travelling; I’m just coming home in between.
I stopped counting the countries I have visited when I got past 100; after all it is about quality not quantity. These days, I am a big supporter of slow travel.
I never interact with trolls. Send me abuse and you will be ignored.

Facebook: I only friend people with whom I’ve had some meaningful interaction in the real world, however my blog has a page: Sarah’s mad woman blog (I often forget to use it. I like Facebook but it brings in very little engagement).
