Travel theme: cities: Granada

As a weekend bonus post I am rising to the challenge of Ailsa over on wheresmybackpack.com for a post on the theme of cities.  You can read the details here.

The last city I visited (if you exclude the one I actually live in) was Granada, Spain.  So for no other reason than that I chose Granada as my city.

      • well the Spanish argue that it’s part of their culture; these processions were going on in Spain long before a few bigots in Southern US adopted it as a fashion statement.
My Spanish teacher said it was all to do with anonymity, although quite why they need to be anonymous whilst carrying a statue of jesus through the streets I”m not so sure
