Peter and Paul church
Here’s one quick one before I move on from San Fransisco. This is Saint Peter and Paul church, Filbert street on Washington Square park.
It featured in the movie Sister Act 2. It was also the venue where Joe DiMaggio married Marylyn Monroe. Well almost. In fact the church refused to marry them, because they were both divorcees. So the couple married in the court house and came back to the church to do their wedding photos.
Oh and the address of the church on Filbert street? Number 666. Yes seriously.
